Cubs Feeding Cubs 2014- Las Vegas

Shiv’s boss Dr Raj strongly recommended that it was a great opportunity for him to introduce recently born Lion cubs in Las Vegas when Shiv was traveling on his business cum vacation trip to Las Vegas.

In the heartwarming meeting between the lion cubs and kids Gobind and Jania, two worlds collided, bridging the gap between human and animal in a truly remarkable way.

As the curious cubs approached with playful eyes and gentle paws, the children's faces lit up with wonder and excitement. It was a captivating moment of connection, where innocence and untamed spirit intertwined, reminding us of the beauty and harmony that can exist between different species.

This extraordinary encounter left an indelible mark on the lives of Gobind, Jania, and the lion cubs, forever etching the power of unity and shared experiences in our collective memories.

This time Shiv decided to take his family to his Las Vegas office and also enjoy couple of off days there. His colleague and boss suggested to take the kids to his known friend who had a lioness as a pet. Recently the lioness had delivered pretty cubs.
It was a unique chance for the kids to cuddle with the Lion kids.

Dulla of the Bhatti clan will

Dulla's daughter got married

He gave one ser of sugar!

The girl is wearing a red suit!

But her shawl is torn!

Who will stitch her shawl?!

The uncle made choori!

The landlords looted it!

Landlords are beaten up!

Lots of simple-headed boys came!

One simpleton got left behind!

The soldier arrested him!

The soldier hit him with a brick!

(Cry or howl)!

Give us Lohri, long live your pair (to a married couple)!

Whether you cry, or bang your head later!

The story:

Over time, people have associated Lohri to the tale of Dulla Bhatti. The central theme of many Lohri songs is the legend of Dulla Bhatti, who lived in Punjab during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar. He was regarded as a hero in Punjab. Besides robbing the rich, he rescued poor Punjabi girls, being forcibly taken to be sold in slave market of the Middle East from the Sandal Bar region. He arranged their marriages to boys of their religion with rituals and provided them with dowries. So every other Lohri song has words to express gratitude to Dulla Bhatti.

Dulla Bhatti was a rebel whose lineage was of Bhatti Muslim Rajputs . His ancestors were the rulers of Pindi Bhattian in Sandal Bar area of present day Pakistan. He was a hero of all Punjabis and his var (life story) is available on the internet.
