A Date with Mom on a good day

I'm glad to record that September 26, 2016 was a memorable day for us and Dari’s mom. 

A date with Mom on a good day can be a truly heartwarming experience. It’s a special occasion where you can strengthen the bond between you and show your appreciation for everything she’s done for you.

For Dari it was always anxiety mixed with excitedness, she would prepare couple of dishes freshly brought vegetables from Indian grocery store and make huge size buttered Paronthas. 

Throughout the day, engage in meaningful conversations, sharing your thoughts and listening to hers. It’s a chance to catch up on each other’s lives and create lasting memories.

That sounds like a beautiful and thoughtful way to spend that day with your mom in 2016. Cooking a paratha similar to the one she taught you and taking care of her by combing her hair and helping her get dressed must have been a touching and loving gesture. It's these small, meaningful acts of love and care that create lasting memories and strengthen the bond between family members. Your mom was surely touched by your thoughtfulness on that special day.

Even after half a century of sharing our lives together, I still possess the ability to bring forth her hearty laughter, a laughter that could resonate all the way to the moon and back. Our journey through the years has been filled with countless memories, trials, and triumphs, but the joy of making her smile remains an enduring and cherished part of our love story. 

It's a testament to the enduring bond we share, one that has grown stronger with time, and the simple pleasure of making her laugh is a constant reminder of the deep connection we've built over the course of our 50-year marriage.

Our friendship story is a testament to the strength and depth of the bond we share. Starting in the parking lot of our liquor store, which was our first business venture after migrating to the USA, me and my friend Ram Ramaswamy embarked on a journey that lasted for three decades.

Over the years, our friendship evolved, not just as friends but as trusted confidants in both our personal and professional lives. The fact that our children ended up attending the same university is a remarkable coincidence and a beautiful continuation of our intertwined paths.

Through the highs and lows of life, we've been there for each other, celebrating joyous moments and providing support during challenging times. Our friendship has truly stood the test of time, growing stronger with each passing year.

Having lunch at a Thai restaurant in Livermore's downtown area in Sep 2016 was a fitting way to commemorate our enduring friendship. The setting, filled with delicious food and shared stories, surely made for a memorable occasion, further cementing the bonds of friendship that have been nurtured for so long.

As we reflect on the past 30 years of companionship and shared experiences, it's clear that our friendship is a treasure to be cherished. It's a testament to the power of friendship and the meaningful connections we can build with others over a lifetime.
