We saw a wonderful and auspicious event! Getting blessings from Lord Bala ji at a replica of the Tripathi temple must have been a special experience. Being our 51st Wedding Anniversary day made me feel nostalgic, as all the devotees were celebrating the wedding of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. We could not expect a better gift of blessings on this day.

Kalyana Utsavam is a significant Hindu religious ceremony that celebrates the divine marriage of a deity. It is a grand and joyous occasion in which the deity is ceremonially wedded to another deity or an idol representing their consort. The ceremony symbolizes the union of male and female energies in the divine realm, often seen as a representation of cosmic harmony.
During a Kalyana Utsavam, elaborate rituals, prayers, and offerings take place. Devotees participate in these rituals to seek the blessings of the divine couple, usually Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, or another divine pair depending on the temple's tradition.
The ceremony is usually accompanied by cultural performances, music, and feasts, making it a festive and spiritually enriching experience for devotees. It's a time when the community comes together to celebrate the divine love and unity of the deities.
It's great that we had the opportunity to attend such a sacred and joyous event at DVHS, celebrating Srinivasan Kalyanam wedding of Lord Vishnu and Godess Lakshmi. The atmosphere was festive with great pump and show. A mammoth gatherence was participating in a disciplined with majority of devotees sitting on the ground while many others using chairs around.
Free Vada and Pongal was served to all. It was well arranged event.
A selfie with Ram Ji
Usha Ramaswamy also asked Harvi to pick a Saree from the stall. A wedding day gift for Harvi - it will be gifted to her with blessings from Lord Bala Ji. We are thankful to Ramaswamy family for the gracious gift.
The beautiful Saree has been received through a courier on Sep 20, 2023
Momonth gatherings, with Mantra were being recited over the loud speakers
Ram ji brought with him a Dhoti and Angwastram for me to use during the visit of Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple in Trivindram.
Ram ji’s priceless sacred gift-which I have wished all my life to use it on me.
