A sea arch is a natural arch or bridge made of stone that has been created when water wears away the underside of a rock, leaving just the top behind. They commonly form where cliffs meet the sea.
Natural arches are created through the process of land, wind, or water erosion, or some combination of these methods. They are often made by the meeting of two types of rock, with the harder substance on the top of the arch, which forms the bridge. When the bottom rock is a softer type of stone, it will erode away more quickly, leaving behind an arch.
Beautiful sea arches exist all around the world.
After visiting the Lava tube, simmering sulphur fumes and Jaggard Museum we walked along the crater rim, we headed for the Chains of Craters a long winding road descending for about 28 miles. At the end of the road the rangers has barracated this road. This is the start of the Islands of Hawaii. Amazing to stand at the edge of the earth as if we were on a Cliff.
Standing at the edge of the Island of Hawaii.
Harvinder standing in a welcome gesture at the start of the Hawaii islands. The rangers on duty have barracated the road and we have to walk on foot from here. And if we go further along the shore for 12 miles, you may see the recent settled lava of about 500 Acres added to the island as recently as 2004.
Charanjeet feeling relaxed at the edge of the Arch and even challenged me to walk on top this Arch.
This is where the Islands of Hawaii start and perhaps is the first store on the island where you can buy a Coke.
