Nature fights Drought in Bay Area

A very huge Rain Storm is expected to invade Bay Area in next two days! As a weatherman would say, a whole river is on its way to Bay Area from across Hawaii and empty itself on California in just two days.

A view from Sherwood Park

As Shiv says it will fill up the whole state with a little less than a ft of water. With this the drought will be a history for the time being.

Come Rain Come,
Too Much Waiting Done!
Make this Drought Run,
Our Garden waiting Fun!

Keep a watch though.

We just got a notice from the School that they will continue to function normally. As per their message below:

Dear SRVUSD Parents,

As you may have heard, the National Weather Service has issued a high wind and flash flood warning in preparation for a strong storm headed to Northern California on Thursday, December 11, 2014.

Please know that the safety of our students is a top priority and we have taken the appropriate preventative measures to prepare for winter weather. All our schools will be open Thursday, December 11 and Friday, December 12. Learning in the classrooms will continue, and recess and lunch periods will be held inside if rain prevails during school hours. If there is a power outage, school will still continue as we have alternatives to address power outages. District staff will be ready to assist and address issues that arise at a school site.  We will be monitoring the weather closely and are in close contact with our emergency responder partners.

Should you have questions, please feel free to contact your school site directly.
