Desilting Tank

This is the site where a Desilting tank was being built before diverting the river water into the balancing reservoir which fed water through Power channels to the Turbines.

It was so much silt that the reservoir got 80% filled up threatening the closure of Small Hydel Project built by Govt Of India for Nepal.

I am wearing a base color turban and a Khaki color self designed sweater and a Khaki color Pant. I used to prefer this outft as would not get demaged due to dust and filthy conditions on the site.

This was the Gurdwara where the naming ceremony of my third sister Bobi and my cousin Mindi took place. The priest took turns two times to take Hukamnama and both times, the Shabad started with word 'M'. Hence initially both were named Mohinder, one KAUR and the other SINGH. Mindi name was however changed to Man Mohan Singh as their grandparents family thought Mohinder name was a bit Old style. But his nick name continued as Mindi a short of Mohinder.

First Produce on Reclaimed Tibba

First time ever Wheat and Mustard is gracing this parcel of land of Tibba about one Acre size which has cultivated this crop. 

Prior to this, this piece was barren and full of wild grass, rats and snakes. After a period of one and half years and spending Rs 15 lakhs, the land is finally reclaimed and up for produce. 

Congratulations to all in the family as the legacy of my Dad and his forefathers is being carried forward.
