Siblings playing together

Harvinder was away to meet her aging parents in San Jose. We do have regular full time help to take care of Geet. But one person alone can not fully justify to take over the full responsibility of an infant.

Gobind and Jania after their schools came forward to mingle with their little sister Geet. They did an amazing job to enhance their own development and self-esteem.

Taking advantage of the opportunity offered, I along with Gobind and Jania addressed this crisis situation into a very fruitful exercise to increase their self-esteem, improve their interpersonal skills and develop further their relatedness.

Empowering siblings to accept and nurture each other can help counteract isolation and interrupt destructive intergenerational cycles. Descriptions of interactions of families with different numbers of siblings illustrates how this play therapy can be effective in addressing children's social and psychological needs.

Geet 4 months is seen here actively participating in the play game with her siblings.

It was amazing to see little Geet understand this play therapy and participate whole heartedly for full thirty minutes.

Finally Gobind even did his home work by explaining each and every question of his Science subject one by one to her and their answers. Response of Geet to the Science questions was a challenge well rewarded.
