Scared of Call from Pakistan

How simple and funny at the same time are the people of villages and small towns even in this era? I often call my people in village off and on just to keep in touch with the state of affairs. Yesterday when I tried to get in touch with my contact in Sangrur. He will not pick the phone. I thought may be there is as usual bad connection problems owing to rainy season.

Finally I decided to give him a call from my land line which is supposed to be more secure in signal. To my shear luck, Pawan would not pick up again. But after my couple of attempts, he picked up and wished me a greetings. And when asked why he was. It picking my phone, he abruptly replies that this was a very long figured number and he was scared to pick up as the same could be from Pakistan. I burst into laughter reacting as if it was a rocket from enemy country.

Dada is Too Fat

I have been telling all my children to allow me to go to their class room and sit with them to learn Alpha Bets.

So now Geet enters PreKg class and I told her the Sam question to ask her teacher if she would allow Dada to sit with her in the class. To  which she told me that Zi donot fit in there.

I pursued again but on reaching home Geet says that I did not ask the teacher. I pusuaded once again. She is not sure if to make such a request to her teacher.

Now today on a happy Friday she is getting ready to join a party. She suddenly asks her Dad if Dada can go to school with her. After a brief thinking declares, Dada can not go to School as he is too fat.

Shiv comes to me and narrates a new little cheeky story.

In one of our casual meeting with Mr Mohan Dayal Singh Khanna, in his residence in Pleasanton Ca he showed me an old Family photograph perhaps of 1937 on the occasion of wedding of S Partap Singh. Most of the stalwarts of the family are available to be recognized.

Geet First Day In School

This is the same school and same class where in Aug 2006, we took our Gobind to start his Learning Journey in Pre School at Accorn Learning Centre at San Ramon. In fact the paper work for admission was done in their branch in Danville at Crow Cannion Road. But the classes also started at their new Branch on Daugherty Road in San Ramon which was at a stones throw from our house in Sherwood Ct. 

Then again we took Jania in 2009 for same learning at the same School location.
