Bedi's Stunning Wedding Reception at Nella Terra Cellers In Sunol

One of its kind, Nella Terra Cellars Winery Sunol hills, nestled in the rolling hills of San Francisco’s East Bay, surrounded by vineyards and lush landscaping was aptly selected as the venue of their son wedding reception. Surinder Singh Bedi and Navneet Kaur Bedi had masterfully designed and arranged a Wedding Reception for their son Dr GurRaj Singh Bedi and daughter-in-law Aman Kaur at this Winery which started only recently in 2013. As we drove through the iron gates onto the tree lined private estate road, we were greeted with the serene peacefulness and cool breeze of Sunol’s rolling hills. A convenient shuttle bus was available just steps away from car parking.

Shiv and Shilpy choose to walk through the beautiful vineyard to the party grounds on the vibrant green lawn with flagstone paved aisle surrounded by sounds of  beautiful water body and pond springs. There were well laid out snack stations ready with waiting servers to help you with Chat, golgappas, roasted cheese, Bhalla Pakori etc. The picturesque setting was shining with afternoon sun under the back drop of artificial lake, fountains, old style wooden bridge and Water falls. This patch of lush green grape wines hiding among vast golden rolling hills of Livermore Valley make a breathtaking view.

Nella Terra Cellers have established a large white Aztec Tent which provided an outdoor feel with protection from the elements. It was very aesthetically decorated with beautiful dining tables set up for 300+ guests spread with pink, peach and white flowers placed on them. As we reached the ground, we saw the cool breeze winning over the hot sun shine making it a perfect condition for an outdoor party.

All the guests were in their best of Western and traditional Punjabi suits with some women preferring Sarees and the men supporting various colored turbans.

The anchors included sister Namrita Bedi who introduced friends and relatives. A welcome address by Surinder and Navneet Bedi highlighted a brief sketch of GurRaj who had grown into a handsome young man. GurRaj was seen growing bit by bit by many friends and relatives who were today present among the guests. The family kids presented Bhangra items to start with. And then came the entry of volatile, popular and internationally acclaimed violin player Violendra Singh with his powered instrument playing popular Punjabi numbers. He was welcomed by thunderous applause by the guests who by now had swelled beyond capacity.

For our family, this was one of the best Wedding Reception Party as it suited our requirement the most since Bedis allowed only the serving of high quality vegetarian food with absolutely no liquor.

Thanks Bedi family for making us the part of great week long Wedding celebrations of GurRaj and Aman. Harvinder and me; Shiv and Shilpy; Gobind, Jania and Geet congratulate the newly weds and wish them a very happy married life ahead.
