Visit Rainforest Kuranda Cairns Australia 2018

Visit to Rainforest where ‘Avatar’ was filmed and shot.
Visit to Kuranda by train was exceptionally good. More than 100 years old though, it worked overtime significantly during the world war when as many as 43 trains moved on these tracks everyday. The Barron Falls attracted all the eyes.

Kuranda is a mountain village near Cairns, in Queensland, on Australia's northeast coast. It's known for the Kuranda Scenic Railway, which winds along forested hillside tracks carved out by early settlers. We took the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for reaching Kuranda village which offers ocean-view gondola rides above a tropical rainforest. In the rugged Barron Gorge National Park, the imposing Barron Falls tumble over craggy rocks into the Barron River.

We saw Aboriginals doing business and had a hot veg Falafel Sandwich at one of their businesses.
The place was full of Mango orchards and the roads are lined with Amaltas and our Gulmohar trees.
