Shaving Kit

One day a guest came to meet a neighbor of us when we were living in Qulander Chowk, Panipat. The visitor happened to be a Sikh gentleman.

The neighbor Uncle was very social  friendly and also close to my Dad. The guest due to some reasons had to stay overnight in his house.

Next day early morning, uncle sent one of his kids to our house. She knocked at the door and asked for loaning Shaving kit from my Dad. At first he was simply shocked to get such an odd request. Why a small kid was asking a shaving kit from a practicing Sikh.

Hair Fixer, Hair Brush, Neares Cloth and  a Needle Support

But a good sence prevailed upon my Dad to understand what little kid meant was. He went straight to his vanity and after collecting his beared setting tools like hair fixer, hair brush, beared cloth etc handed over to the little kid.

My Dad came to know later that the guest in fact had forgotten to bring his beard  fixing tools usually required by Sikhs with fully grown beareds. The poor neighbor was so much embarrassed to know all this and profusely apologized from my Dad.

Definitely my Dad understood the real meaning of Shaving kit and repeatedly narrated this story to kids.
