Chhatto = name of an old lady in the neighbourhood
oh kidhray gaye dihaarhay?
jadd Chhatto de pichhwaarhay,
saaN ber Chhatto de Dhaahnde,
hass hass ke gaalaN khaanday.
kar laagay laagay siriyaN,
oh beri thallay behna,
thorhi ji ghur ghur maghroN,
phir jaa Chhatto nu kehna.
"chhaitee kar Bebey Chhatto,
tainu sadd'di taayee Satto",
uss jaana hauli hauli,
asaN karke furti chhohli,
gaalarh waanhg charh jaana,
beraN da meenh varahna.
aapiN taaN chunn chunn khaane,
chhohraN nu dabkay laane,(chhohr = younger kids)
bachoo HarnameyaN khaa lai,
Santoo dabbaN wich paa lai!
khaa khoo ke thallay lehna,
phir bann vartaawe behna.
kujh vand karaayee lainee,
kujh kanday chubaayee lainee.
phir cheek chihaarha paana,
uttoN Chhatto ne aa jaana.
uss jhothi moothi kuttna,
asaN jhoothi moothi rona.
uss dhaun asaadi chhadni,
asaN tappke pare khalona.
uss gaalaN deiniyaN khull ke
asaN gaunaN aggoN rall ke.
"Chhatto Mai diaN gaalaN,
han dudh te ghiyo diaN naalaN".
ajj Oye je koi aakhay,
asiN hoiyeye lohay laakhay.
ajj sanu je koi ghooray,
asin chukk chukk paiye hooray.
gaalaN rahiyaN ikk paaasay,
asiN jhall na sakkiye haasay.
gall gall te bhajjiye thaanay,
asin bhull baithey "oh jaanae".
