Badbar House ‘KaramVas CHHAPRI’ Under Construction

‘KaramVas’

It sounds today that we made a significant decision to bulldoze our old house in Badbar village due to its poor condition and almost became beyond repairs.
We had two portions, the older one which was about 200 years old and where my grandmother  used to dwell and my Dad S Vasdev Singh invariably visited with a dual purpose of taking care of her and lands. My uncle S Inder Jit Singh enjoyed their company and all the times three had meals together.

The new portion was also built five decades ago but that scumbed to weather and cheaper construction. Older portion was at a lower level of about 3 feet. So we had to use heavy duty machinery like JCB to uproot the old thick walls and filled the lower level with 20 trolleys of dirt.

We took precautions to insure the workers against venomous snakes and dangerous scorpions.

We also old about two century old small bricks to highlight inside as well as out side the main front wall.

Rebuilding a house from scratch can be a lengthy and challenging process. Waiting for 10 years to rebuild indicates our patience and commitment to creating a new home. Undertaking such a project that too remotely requires careful planning, construction, dedication and execution.

Our Farms manager Pawan Kumar played a crucial role in making the rebuilding process possible. Having a skilled and dedicated manager can greatly contribute to the successful completion of a construction project. His expertise, coordination, and management skills are invaluable in ensuring that the rebuilding process goes smoothly. It's wonderful that we were able to bring our vision to life through creating a new home.

It has been appropriately name as ‘KaramVas’ on the name of my grandmother Mata Karam Devi and Dad S Vasdev Singh

I hope that after the long wait, our new house turns out to be a beautiful and comfortable place for my family to enjoy for years to come.
I confess in the last but not in the least that this project would not have been successful without proactive support of my wife Sdn Harvinder Kaur and kiddos.

When my cousin and neighbor both in village and farms Dr Manmohan Singh gave a surprise visit to my house under construction and sent me this picture. He sent me a message:

Excellent, Badbar becomes rich with descendents of Bhai nand lal ji
