Oh dear wonders of the World Committee….have you ever paid a visit to our Rani ki Vav ?
The step well designed as an inverted Temple highlighting the sanctity of water, divided into 7 levels of stairs with sculptural panels. There are 212 pillars in the Stepwell and around 800 sculptures in the inner walls of the Vav.
Rani ki Vav situated in Patan, Gujarat.
The stepwell was built in 1063 by Rani Udayamati of the Chaulukya Dynasty to commemorate her husband, Bhimdev I.
