Bhagwant takes the Colon attack boldly

Sunny Beta sent this note on Family PM today

“Dear All,
As you all are aware that Mom got diagnosed with Early Colon Cancer and recently she was operated upon, successfully. Her Oncologist called yesterday to inform that we caught it early but Biopsy did show some spread in surrounding Lymph Nodes. She will be undergoing Chemotherapy Now. She is in Good health and her prognosis is excellent. Oncologist suggested that whole family, especially members above 45 years if age, should undergo Diagnostic Colonoscopy to rule out Polyps or early cancer, considering its easy to treat in early stages.Feel free to reach me if you have any questions.

Dr Sandeep Kapoor”

Thanks Sunny for information and giving alert to all in the family. Each and everybody above 45 must consider it mandatory to get tested under the supervision of his/her doctor regularly as desired. My grandfather’s older brother Sh Shsm Das Tehsildar died of stomach ‘Kulanj’ as recorded by Prof Ganda Singh historian book also.
I am not sure what ‘Kulanj’ means but now fear it was some thing dreaded surely.
So All of us have to make our Doctors know about this and take suitable measures. In present day norms the Colon cancer is 100% curable with recent developed medicines. We wish and pray for Bhagwant to be Cancer free soon.

Thanks Dr Sandeep Kapoor for his perfect note to the family, his advice has to be followed by one and all like a writing in the Bible.

Bhagwant in mean time has taken the Colon Cancer attack boldly like taking the bull by the horns. She was calm and cheerful without a sign of nervousness before the surgery. She was taken for the surgery on 10th Dec 2021 and after successful surgery discharged from the hospital after three un-eventful days. She was up with high spirits as she reached back home.
A laparoscopic (less-invasive) was done by the expert Canadian doctors in Brampton. Now after four weeks of recouping, she has started feeling normal and is without pain killer pills. She has also resumed her normal chores. Chemotherapy will now start in a weeks time.
We wish her all the best!
