A Journey Through My Ancestral Land

Visiting my Barani and Nehiri lands today with Harvinder was an experience filled with joy and deep satisfaction.

Our first stop was the Barani, and the sight of the wheat crop at its peak ripening stage was absolutely thrilling. In just two to three weeks, it will turn into a golden sea of wheat produce, ready to yield a magnificent harvest.

There is something indescribable about walking on my own lands it feels as if every step I take adds another day to my worldly existence, strengthening my connection to my roots.

The people there were so kind and welcoming, making me feel at home. Manjeet Natha Singh, in his thoughtful way, even brought me a Coca-Cola, unaware that I don't drink it due to its high sugar content. It was a sweet gesture nonetheless, and I truly appreciated his effort.

From there, we made our way to the Nehri land. As we arrived, a group of lively birds began chirping and dancing over us, as if they had been waiting to welcome us home. It was such a magical moment that I was quick to capture it on video. Nature has its own way of embracing you, making you feel like you truly belong.

Standing on this land, now so fertile and abundant, fills me with immense pride. This very place, which for 40 years brought us nothing, is now thriving, producing wheat and rice all year round. I know my father, watching from heaven, must have shared my joy today.

He would be pleased to see the transformation, to know that Harvinder and I have worked tirelessly planning, spending lots of efforts, making our hard earned investments and scrupulously  executing our plans to bring this land to present status of life.

I hope my family and the generations that follow will reap the benefits of this hard work. This land carries the sweat and dreams of those before me, and today, it carries my hopes for the future.
