Gobind enjoying his Guitar in San Ramon
I had been missing Gobind as we had not spoken for a while. The poor fellow was all alone, facing the severe snowy weather in a new place, Boston. Having lived all his life in the mild temperatures of the San Francisco Bay Area, this harsh winter was truly a test for him. On top of that, his field assignments exposed him to even tougher outdoor conditions.
We tried our best to rush snow clothes and proper shoes to him. By God’s grace, he has come through it all unscathed. The short conversation below is like a certificate of his resilience and maturity.
I deeply love my first grandchild, who shows such empathy and compassion even while sitting thousands of miles away.
Me:
How are you, my little kid?
How can I help you from a distance?
How is your job and your colleagues?
Gobind:
I am good, my big grandfather.
You can help me by being healthy and happy and having fun with Geet.
My job is good.
My colleagues are nice.
His words warmed my heart more than any winter coat ever could. ❤️
