There are few moments in my life that give me greater satisfaction than walking through my farms in my native village of Badbar, District Barnala.
I love to show the growth of produce which will be a part to feed the millions through government subsidized schemes.
As I stroll through the lush green fields, with the wheat crop standing tall and stretching towards the sky, I experience a deep sense of pride and contentment.

Although the weather may be warm, the gentle breeze blowing across miles and miles of green fields feels remarkably cool and refreshing. Filtered through the dense vegetation, the air carries the fragrance of the ripening crop, reminding me of nature’s incredible generosity. In another month or so, this golden wheat will be ready for harvest, fulfilling its purpose of nourishing countless families.

At such moments, I bow my head in gratitude to the Almighty for blessing us with the privilege of cultivating the land. There can be no greater satisfaction than producing food that feeds others. It is a humble service to humanity and a constant reminder that the earth rewards sincere labor with abundance.

Above all, I owe a great deal of this journey to my life partner Harvinder. Since five plus decades, she has stood beside me through every visit to Badbar constantly encouraging me to preserve and develop our ancestral land. Her love for nature, farming and trees has inspired us to invest in our heritage rather than abandon it. Whatever our farms have become today in no small measure, a reflection of her unwavering support, vision, partnership.

Every visit to these fields renews my faith, fills my heart with peace, and strengthens my bond with the land of my ancestors. For me, this is true wealth, true happiness, and one of life’s greatest blessings.
